Quick Group unveils ongoing sustainability program at METSTRADE 2024

Among the many ambitious goals that the Group has achieved in 2024 and will continue to work on in 2025, the most remarkable are reduction of emissions and valorization of its carbon footprint.
 
Quick Group, a global leader in the production and supply of complex systems and pre- and after-sales services for yachts and superyachts, presented its sustainability program and its targets for 2025 at METSTRADE 2024.  The Group's ambitious program, which focuses on reducing the environmental impact of products developed in-house, continues to evolve with an emphasis on environmental decoupling-particularly absolute decoupling, which occurs when economic growth continues but fossil fuel consumption and emissions decrease.
 
Since 2024, Quick Group, together with the new brands that joined the Group about a year ago, has begun a rigorous process of integration to achieve Quick's established standards. The initial priority was to align production and documentary standards, as this action has the most immediate effect on the quality perceived by customers. The second phase, currently under development and with concrete results expected in 2025, involves complete adoption of the Group’s quality system and inclusion and sustainability practices. Quick Spa has supported these values and issues for years and intends to embed them in all the Group's new locations, consolidating them as the distinctive pillars and the founding values of its identity.

The Group pursued a number of concrete goals in 2024, also included in its sustainability program for 2025, starting with carbon emission reductions and plans for large-scale investment in renewable energy (such as solar panels), but also including consolidation of its commitment to ensuring maximum transparency in the supply chain. The Group is increasingly obtaining the active participation of all its business partners, with the goal of achieving high standards of sustainability along the entire supply chain. The Group is collaborating with suppliers and partners to promote more responsible business processes, encouraging several suppliers to adopt sustainable practices and certification in their own supply chains. This vision extends beyond the company’s boundaries, requiring partners to become the leading actors in processes of change. In this way, the Group acts as a catalyst for a positive impact all along the value chain, adopting innovative solutions and encouraging sustainable behavior among its customers as well.
 
There are also plans to implement vertical production methodologies and extend the measurement of the carbon footprint to other, different product ranges, assessing their life cycle to quantify their environmental impact, while also extending ISO certification to all the Group's production companies. Fundamental actions that will continue in 2025 are adoption of strategies promoting inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace, and strengthening the company’s circular economy in a process is aimed at promoting efficient use of resources and reduction of waste, with a focus on reuse, recycling and recovery of materials. This translates into the adoption of sustainable packaging and other initiatives.
 
Emissions reduction and carbon footprint valorization
The Group is actively taking action against climate change and adopting a number of measures promoting decarbonization of the energy system and maximizing energy efficiency in production. It does so by setting measurable targets for the reduction of its own emissions and those of its entire supply chain, for example by certifying some of its most strategic products based on the amount of energy used.
The Group expects its overall emissions to fall in 2025 (a trend Quick Spa began with a 12.5% decrease in emissions over the previous year in 2023, followed by a 6% decrease in 2024). Furthermore, it also aims to transition to electricity that is 100% generated from renewable sources with GO (Guarantee of Origin) certificates. In pursuit of its commitment to maximizing energy efficiency in production, the Group is undertaking ambitious initiatives such as moving the production headquarters of the Sanguineti brand to Casarza Ligure. This new site is designed to optimize energy consumption, reduce emissions and adopt sustainable solutions.
 
The importance of the quality system
The goal for 2025 is to obtain an increasingly high-level quality system by extending ISO 9001 certification-currently held by Quick Spa- to all the Group's production companies, also extending ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications by 2026. Implementation of these certifications implies the adoption of a series of policies, processes and procedures permitting identification, monitoring and management of the impact of the company’s activities on the environment.
At the same time, the Group is proceeding with ongoing development of its production companies and the entire supply chain, working to obtain certifications in line with ISO 14064 for production companies and ISO 14067 for certain product categories. The aim is to align with international standards and ensure environmental sustainability at all stages in the production process.
 
A solid quality system not only guarantees compliance with standards but lays the foundations on which to build dependability and gain customers’ trust,” says Marco Rodi, Chief Operating & Sustainability Officer of the Quick Group. “The strict requirements of ISO certifications ensure that every business process is optimized, compliant and constantly evolving, creating lasting value and reducing risks. Investing in quality means investing in the future. After renewing the ISO 9001 certification obtained during the year, our goal for 2024 was to obtain ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications for Quick Spa. The goal for 2025 is to extend ISO 9001 certification to all Group companies and start them along the same path as the parent company, so that complete homogenization is achieved, and the various companies will be aligned by the end of 2026.”
 
Social Responsibility and Governance
In line with its commitment to diversity and inclusion, the Group recorded a balanced gender composition in 2024 and set itself the goal of further improving inclusivity within the organization by promoting equal opportunities at all organizational levels. To this end, it recently approved a new inclusion policy, reinforcing the guidelines that have always guaranteed a discrimination-free work environment in which everyone is treated equally.
 
In terms of fair remuneration, the Group has always guaranteed equal pay for all positions, without gender discrimination of any kind, based exclusively on the value of human resources. With a view to ongoing improvement, the Group continues to evaluate and valorize its human resources by enhancing talents, implementing specific growth plans and preventing any form of discrimination or pay gap.  This commitment aligns with the vision of creating an inclusive work environment in which every employee can grow and contribute, without barriers linked to gender or origin.
